1888 Chromolithograph Switzerland Costume Fashion 19th Century Traditional LCH5 XEEA9 (dating to the 15th century)This is a rare original 1888 color chromolithograph which depicts some of the popular clothing styles throughout Switzerland around the beginning of the 19th century. Centrally located, Switzerland was influenced by the fashions and trends from its neighbors, however due to its mountainous locale and multiple hamlets, clothing remained more functional than in the larger cities of the time. It was often the custom for unmarried girls to grow their hair
