Son of Frederick James and Lydia Florence Steadman of 31, Woodville Rd., Walthamstow, Essex. Edward Alfred Steadman was born in 1893 at Walthamstow. On the 1911 Census he is listed as being a Clerk at a Stockbrokers. He enlisted in London (Walthamstow) and first served overseas in France from 31 July 1915. The Somme campaign was the 10th's first major action and he was killed in action on 12 July 1916 and is
