This poor woman had the misfortunate of surviving her family in a recent famine, during which she was forced to eat the bodies of her husband and children to survive. The loose sleeves of her outer furs are ideal for withdrawing one's arms close to the chest if the weather suddenly becomes unbearable. . CONDITION This 84+ year old Item is rated Very Fine
