In Greek mythology, Agamemnon, commander of the Greeks in Trojan War, was the son of King Atreus of Mycenae and Queen Aerope; the brother of Menelaus and the husband of Clytemnestra. Aegisthus was the son of Thyestes and of Thyestes' daughter, Pelopia.
