Feels like a miracle of science to  have achieved this effect

and this one seems almost as if it should exist inside of a bottle

as documented in photos--largely only noticeable under bright light and magnification

Very Lovely 1866 Naive Watercolor Flowers with Decorated Border on Laid vanity set padlock is a pretty rareJust my sort of watercolor, very naive, very charming, and to my eye just transcendently lovely. With what appear to be three different sorts of blooms emanating from the roundish pink form near center the one at top right seeming to me a bit like a bird or a bee seeking nectar! And with two perimeters of hatch marks creating a frame around it, in a manner similar to early handmade rewards of merit, which perhaps it was made to be. On reverse: Sue
