This is one of the most sought after German bayonets of the ERSATZ (Emergency) series released during the The Great War. This is an all steel Ersatz version of the M 98 05 Butcher Saw Back Bayonet. This example is found on pages 104 109 of J. Anthony Carter's classic work "GERMAN BAYONETS" Volume 3 published in 1992. Recently acquired in a collection of bayonets that had been amassed over the last 30 40 years. In
