Fighter Wing 27 (Jagdgeschwader 27) had previously participated in the invasion of France and accompanied the Afrika Korps during the German campaign in North Africa

The sleeve insignia has detached in a few spots

flanked on either side with large figures

cosntructed of bronzed magnetic metal

and is constructed of multiple panels of heavy black leather which are stitching into a loop for belt suspension
